    29

December 25th, 2008 by bố Béo in Aniversary, Feeling

I had a wonderful Xmas and birthday party last night. It is quite fun to be born on Xmas eve. However, it is a pity that 2008 is the last year when I can enjoy being a twenty-something :p This time in 2009, I will officially join the rank of thirty-plus :((

My lovely Thao :@) spent the whole day cooking and preparing for it. She cooked 7-course meal including Vietnamese springrolls (her favourite and one of her best :x;), fried flavoured squid, sweet and sour pork ribs, green been sticky rice, mixed vegetable and beef stir fry, sweet and sour grated salad (nộm) and lotus seed and chicken soup. To top it up, she made a coffee-flavoured gateau birthday cake all by herself and decorated with flowers and candles. All were wonderful and very tasty with every guest complimented the chef. I completely agreed with one of my friend that I am a lucky man or "a mice in a rice pot" as an old saying in Vietnamese.

It is a pity we could not invite people over to our place so we have to organize it in a living room from a group of friends here. Nonetheless, all our friends were there and we all had a very good night. We started with a card game, followed by our meal and dessert. Next, we moved to the Karaoke, which is the most exciting part. Lots of singers and lots of songs were performed and what do you know, many talented artists were discovered :p

Finally, we went home about 11.30 in the night, exhausted but it is definitely the best birthday party I have ever had. Thank you very much my love :x
